NILES, Mich. - The Saint Mary's tennis team captured a 9-0 win over visiting Saint Francis (Ind.) on Wednesday night at the Lakeland Tennis Academy.
Hannah Gerner captured a quick 6-0, 6-0 win at five singles, and
Anna Gardner made quick work of her four singles match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
Evelyn Demblans-Dechans overcame an early deficit in the second set of her three singles match to capture a straight-set 6-1, 6-3 victory.
Alayna Campbell fought off her opponent at one singles to earn a 6-3, 6-2 victory on the night.
Emma Kealy overcame a 5-4 deficit in the second set and dominated in a tiebreaker for a 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) for a win ath two singles to cap off the night.
The Belles (4-4) are back in action on Friday, March 1 when they face both IU-Kokomo and Anderson in Pendleton, Indiana starting at 2:30 p.m.
