ALBION, Mich. - The Saint Mary's tennis team captured a 9-0 win over Albion on Wednesday afternoon.

 

The Belles jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead through doubles play. Grace Clearwater and Katie Hunter won their three doubles match by an 8-0 margin. Alayna Campbell and Evelyn Deblmans-Dechans claimed an 8-1 victory at one doubles. Emma Kealy and Anna Gardner teamed up for an 8-2 decision at two doubles.

 

Emma Kealy was off the court with a 6-0, 6-0 two singles win, and Anna Gardner clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at four singles. Alayna Campbell earned a 6-0, 6-0 one singles victory, and Evelyn Demblans-Dechans took a 6-0, 6-1 win at three singles. Katie Hunter won a 6-1, 6-1 final at six singles, and Grace Clearwater wrapped up the official score with a 6-1, 6-0 decision at five singles.

 

Michaela Hauer took a pair of exhibition wins by 8-0 and 6-0 scores. Genevieve Brawner won an exhibition singles match by a 6-1 score, and Olivia Erickson added a 6-2 exhibition singles win of her own.

 

The Belles (16-6, 6-2 MIAA) now look to the top-four MIAA Tournament. Saint Mary's will be the third-seeded team and will travel to Calvin on Thursday, May 2. The match time has not yet been announced.
