Belles Sweep Britons on Senior Day

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Tennis extended their win streak to 10 matches on Saturday with a 7-0 sweep of Albion College on Senior Day. The Belles improve to 14-3 (5-1 MIAA) while the Britons fall to 6-8 (1-4 MIAA).

Doubles

Saint Mary's would start their Saturday domination by taking all three matches in doubles. Senior Alayna Campbell (Granger, IN) and junior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) would take the easy win at number one, 6-1. Sophomore Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) and freshman Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) would sweep their opponent at number two, 6-0. Junior Hannah Gerner (Crown Point, IN) and sophomore Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) would take care of their opponent handly, 6-1, at number three.

Singles

The Belles would continue their domination in singles play, not losing a single game and winning each match, 6-0 6-0. Campbell was victorious at number one while Kealy was victorious at number two. Gardner would take her win at three while Dudy would win at four. Freshman Lanie Brant (Stevensville, MI) would take her first win of the day at number five while Pischalko would win at six.

UP NEXT FOR THE BELLES

Saint Mary's heads into the final two matches of the regular season, starting on April 16 at Hope College. The Belles then conclude the regular season at home against Calvin University on April 25, starting at 4pm.
