KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Tennis fell to Kalamazoo College, 4-2, in the MIAA Tournament Semi Finals on Wednesday evening. The Belles season ends with a record of 16-5.

Doubles

Saint Mary's would kick doubles play off with a win at the number one match, senior Alayna Campbell (Granger, IN) and junior Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) would easily take care of their opponent, 6-1. Kalamazoo would come out and take the numbers two and three matches to secure the doubles point.

Due to weather, the match would be moved inside in the middle of singles play.

Singles

The Hornets would extend their lead to 3-0, taking the numbers one and four matches. But the Belles would bounce back, taking the next two matches to cut the lead to one. Sophomore Sophia Pischalko (Granger, IN) would take care of her opponent at number six, 6-2 6-2. Sophomore Anna Gardner (Houston, TX) would follow closely behind, winning at number three, 6-3 6-3. But Kalamazoo would shut down the comeback with a win at the number five match to secure their place in the MIAA Tournament Finals.
