ANGOLA, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Golf took home a T2 finish at the Trine Kick-Off Classic at Zollner Golf Course in Angola, IN on Tuesday. The Belles finished with a 328 and tied with fellow MIAA member Kalamazoo College.
 
In her first collegiate event, freshman Peyton Kauzlick (Noblesville, IN) took home a T4 finish to lead Saint Mary's after shooting a 79 (+7). Kauzlick was steady throughout her round as she tallied 13 pars on the afternoon. Senior Colleen Hand (Royal Oak, MI) finished close behind Kauzlick as she finished T7 after carding an 80 (+8). Hand started off her round hot, going one-under in her first eight holes. She would also birdie both the par five seventh and 18th holes.
 
Sophomore Katharine Swain (South Bend, IN) followed with a T12 finish after shooting a 10-over 82 on Tuesday. Swain also added a birdie on the par-four fourth hole, her second hole of the day. Junior Ella Notaro (Crystal Lake, IL) rounded out the scorers for the Belles as she finished T26 after carding an 87 (+15). Sophomore Nina Notaro (Crystal Lake, IL) was the final competitor for the Belles as she finished in 46th place after shooting a 96 (+24).
 
Junior KJ Walters (Kalamazoo, MI) and freshman Margaret Deimel (Grand Rapids, MI) competed as individuals at the event. Walters finished T23 after shooting an 86 (+14). In her first collegiate round, Deimel finished T26 with an 87 (+15) and added two birdies on her first five holes on the par five fifth and par four ninth.

Saint Mary's returns to the course on September 14 as they compete in the first MIAA Jamboree of the fall season. The Jamboree will be hosted by Albion College and played at Marshall Country Club in Albion, MI.
