BRIGHTON, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Cross Country freshman
Adelaide Lulich (Canonsburg, PA) was named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Runner of the Week after her performance last week.
Â
Lulich led the Belles at the 2026 opening race at the Comet Open in Olivet, MI. In her first collegiate event, she ran an impressive 18:47.2 while placing first overall individually for the Belles.
Â
Lulich's win becomes just the fifth time in program history that a Saint Mary's runner has won a race and is the first time since Jessica Biek in 2013.
Â
Saint Mary's Cross Country will be back in action on Friday, September 11 as they head back into Michigan to compete in the Spartan Invite, hosted by Michigan State University, in East Lansing, MI.
