Taylor Hollowell was named as the Sports Information Director for the Department of Athletics in July 2024.
The Sports Information Director is responsible for managing the overall sports communication needs of the varsity athletics programs as well as the media relations needs of the Department of Athletics. These duties include but are not limited to implementation and oversight of social media accounts, website content development and updates, streaming operations and content, press releases, statistics, and game day management.
Hollowell began his Sports Information career at the University of Southern Indiana where he served as a Student Assistant for the Athletic Communication department in 2021-22 and transitioned into a Graduate Assistant for the 2022-23 academic year.
While at USI, he served as the main contact for Men's Soccer, Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving, Men's Golf, and Men's Tennis. He also played a major role in USI's transition from NCAA Division II to NCAA Division I. During his studies, Hollowell worked multiple internships in the athletics world, including with professional sports organizations in Evansville, IN, the Evansville Thunderbolts (hockey) and the Evansville Otters (baseball). He also spent time in Melbourne, FL working for USSSA and the USSSA Pride. Hollowell also spent time as a broadcaster during his sophomore and junior years, broadcasting multiple USI sports and high school football.
The native of Middlebury, IN graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2022 with his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with a minor in Marketing. Hollowell also graduated from USI with his Master’s in Business Administration in May 2023.
He currently resides in Granger, IN area along with his wife Lexie.
