NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's tennis team captured a 9-0 conference win over Olivet at the Eck Tennis Pavilion on Wednesday evening.

 

Meredith Heckert and Kalyn Borger did not drop a game en route to an 8-0 victory at two doubles as the first pair off the courts. Lucy Chamberlin and Alayna Campbell claimed an 8-1 win at one doubles, and Kathleen McLeod and Nikki Rust gave the Belles a 3-0 lead with an 8-1 win of their own at three doubles.

 

Heckert then put Saint Mary's a result away from the team win as the senior cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at three singles. Campbell clinched the team result with a 6-0, 6-0 win of her own at two singles, and McLeod captured a 6-0, 6-0 win at four singles. 

 

Lucy Chamberlin battled her way to a 6-2, 6-1 decision at one singles. Nikki Rust was the next match off the court as she prevailed in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at five singles. Katie Hunter picked up her first official collegiate win with a 6-2, 6-1 win at six singles to complete the 9-0 team win.

 

The Belles (4-7, 1-1 MIAA) have a quick turnaround as the team travels to Illinois to take on Wheaton on Thursday starting at 6:00 p.m. CDT.
