ADRIAN, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Soccer fell to Adrian College on Thursday night, 1-0, in a makeup from the postponed October 12 matchup. The Belles fall to 7-6-1 (2-3-1 MIAA) while the Bulldogs improve to 10-3-1 (4-1-1 MIAA).
Both offenses we finding groves in the first half but it was Adrian that found the back of the net early in the 39th minute to take the early 1-0 lead. The Bulldogs would go into the break with a 7-4 advantage in shots.
The Belles offense slowed down in the second half as Adrian went into a strong defensive set as they closed out the final 45 minutes and secured their win. Just three shots were taken by both teams in the second half as Adrian would outshoot Saint Mary's, 8-6.
Sophomore Margaret Slove (Spring Grove, IL) would be the lone Belle to record multiple shots with two while four other Belles recorded a lone shot. Senior Mary Kaczynski (South Bend, IN) and junior Izzy Sherman (Fort Wayne, IN) recorded Saint Mary's two shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Riley Lindsey (Valparaiso, IN) recorded four saves for the Belles.

Saint Mary's returns home for the final two matches of the regular season as they host Trine University on Saturday for a 1pm kickoff then host Hope College on October 30 for the regular season finale kicking off at 4pm.
