KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Golf finished first at the third MIAA Jamboree at Gull Lake Country Club on Monday. The Belles would tie their season low 18-hole score with a 312.

Senior Amanda Melling (East Lansing, MI) led the team with a solo second place finish after shooting a one-under 72, a career low 18-hole score for the senior. Melling would tally four birdies on the day, including three straight on holes 5-7. Those three birdies helped her finish the front nine two-under par with a 35. 

Sophomore Melanie Maier (Richmond, TX) followed Melling closely, finishing T4 after carding a 78 (+5). Maier shot two-under on the five par-five holes on the day while finishing with a 39-39 front and back. 

Senior Breana Harrington (Pinellas Park, FL) followed with a T11 finish after shooting a seven-over 80 on the afternoon. Harrington would birdie the par four ninth hole to open her round and also tallied a birdie on the par five seventh. Senior Julia Lizak (Riverview, MI) finished T19 in her first round back from injury, carding a nine-over 82 on the day.

Junior Colleen Hand (Royal Oak, MI) finished T35 after shooting an 88 (+15) and tallying a birdie of her own on the par-three 15th hole. Freshman Kate Plessinger (Columbus, OH) would compete as an individual, finishing T40 after shooting an 89 (+16) and birdieing the par-five third.
