ANDERSON, Ind. - Saint Mary's College Basketball fell to Anderson University, 85-63, to close out their road swing. The Belles fall to 4-2 on the year while the Ravens improve to 2-4.
Anderson got out to an early lead in the first quarter as Saint Mary's kept it close. The Ravens went on a 10-3 run to close out the first quarter to head into the second quarter with a 20-11 lead. Five different Belles got on the board with points in the first ten minutes.
Anderson opened the second quarter with an 11-2 run to extend their lead to 18. The two teams traded baskets going through the remainder of the quarter as they went into halftime with a 48-31 lead. Senior Hannah Outlaw (Jones, MI) led the Belles with 10 points in the first half while junior Annie Restovich (St. Louis, MO) and sophomore Kate Passinault (Grand Rapids, MI) added six and five points.
While both teams struggled from the field in the third quarter, the Belles knocked a point off their deficit, outscoring the Ravens 15-14. Both teams' defenses held strong as they forced multiple turnovers each in the quarter with Anderson going into the fourth with a 62-46 lead. Outlaw moved up to 14 points and eight rebounds on the night while Passinault moved into double figures with 12.
Anderson continued their strong shooting in the fourth quarter as the Belles couldn't mount a final comeback, falling 85-63.
Outlaw led the Belles with a double-double with a career-high 22 points along with 12 rebounds. Passinault and sophomore Ella Notaro (Crystal Lake, IL) both added 12 points. Notaro also added five rebounds.Â

Saint Mary's takes a week break for Thanksgiving before returning to the court on December 3 for their MIAA opener when they host Calvin University. The Belles then host Hope College on December 6.
