NORMAL, Ill. - Saint Mary's College Golf finished the Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic with a sixth place finish on Sunday. The Belles would card a 635 after shooting 315-320 over the two day event.

Sophomore Melanie Maier (Richmond, TX) would lead the Belles with a T18 finish. Maier would card a 155 (+11), shooting 79-76. Maier would tally three birdies in round two to lead the team. Senior Amanda Melling (East Lansing, MI) would finish a couple strokes back in T30 after carding a 158 (+14). Melling would card a 78-80 over the two day event.

Senior Breana Harrington (Pinellas Park, FL) would finish T49 after shooting a 163 (+19) after shooting 82-81 on the weekend. Junior Colleen Hand (Royal Oak, MI) would finish T76, carding a 168 (+24). Hand would shoot 85-83 over the weekend. Freshman Katharine Swain (South Bend, IN) would finish her second collegiate event with a T85 finish, carding a 171 (+27), shooting 86-85.

Senior Julia Lizak (Riverview, MI) would lead the team after Saturday's round one, after shooting a four-over 76, but would not compete in Sunday's round.

Saint Mary's will kick off the first of four MIAA Jamborees on Monday, September 22, in Grand Rapids, MI. The Belles then take on their final non-jamboree event of the fall on September 27-28 at the Bulldog Fall Classic in Big Rapids, MI.
