Belles Fall in Road Finale

ADRIAN, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Soccer fell at Adrian College, 2-0, in their final road game of the season. The Belles fall to 4-9-1 (1-6 MIAA) while the Bulldogs improve to 5-9-2 (2-5 MIAA).

Saint Mary's controlled the possession for the majority of the first half while neither team could get any strong chances off. Adrian would take an 8-1 advantage in shots in the first half while there were four combined corner kicks as the teams went into the break knotted at zero.

While the teams traded possession early in the second half, after a defensive miscue, the Bulldogs would slip a shot into the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead in the 60th minute. While the Belles would have their chances to equalize, the Bulldogs would double their lead in the 80th minute to take their 2-0 lead. Adrian would hold on to some strong press from the Saint Mary's offense to secure their win.

Sophomore Mia Johnson (Mission Viejo, CA) led the team with three shots and two shots on goal on the night. Six other Belles would add a shot on the night while two added a shot on goal. Sophomore goalkeeper Meghan Krayer (Hinsdale, IL) tallied a career high 11 saves on the night, adding five in the first half and six in the second. Krayer tallied double digit saves in three of the last five games including back-to-back.
