FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Volleyball junior
Caroline Carens (Naperville, IL) was named to the All-MIAA First Team, voted on by league coaches, the league announced on Friday.

This is Carens second All-MIAA honoree of her career (Second Team in 2024). She also becomes the first Belle since 2017 to earn the honor (Rachel Bonek and Marielle Corbett).

Carens led the Belles in almost every offensive category in the 2025 season. She led the team in points (389), points per set (3.74), kills (315), kills per set (3.03), and hitting percentage (.313). Defensively, she led the team in solo blocks (32), block assists (68), total blocks (100), and blocks per set (0.96). She was also one of just five Belles to play in all 27 matches while being one of two to play in all 104 sets.Â

She tallied double-digit kills in 17 matches including eight straight matches to start the year. Carens set a career high 20 kills in the regular season finale at the University of Olivet to help send the Belles into the post season for the first time since 2021. She then followed that performance with a 20 kill showing at Trine University in the first round of the MIAA Tournament. She also set a career high in points, 23.5, against Olivet. That was one of her 20 matches where she tallied double-digit points while she surpassed 20 points in five.

Defensively, she knotted multiple blocks in 26 matches while reaching at least five blocks in eight matches. She tied her career high of eight blocks in one match at Dominican University in September.Â

In the MIAA, Carens ranked third overall in total kills while ranking fifth in both hitting percentage and kills per set. She also ranked third in total points while ranking fourth in points per set. Carens led the MIAA in total blocks while ranking fifth in blocks per set.

Nationally, she finished 45th in Division III in total blocks while finishing 74th in blocks per set. Carens also finished in the top 100 for points and hitting percentage.

Carens and the Belles finished the season with a 16-11 overall record and a 3-5 MIAA record. Saint Mary's started the season hot with a 12 game win streak and saw them make it to the MIAA Tournament for the first time since 2021. The 16 wins also ties the most for the program under Head Coach Denise Van De Walle.
