FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Saint Mary's College Tennis senior
Emma Kealy (Hudson, OH) was named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
Kealy and the Belles continued MIAA play with a win over Adrian College before falling to Calvin University on Saturday. The senior went a combined 3-1 on the weekend including a perfect 2-0 in singles play.
Against Adrian, Keely earned a dominating 6-1 6-1 win at the number one singles position en route to the Belles 7-0 win over the Bulldogs. On Saturday, as Kealy and fellow senior
Evelyn Demblans-Dechans (Missoula, MT) were honored before the match, Kealy went on to go 2-0 against the Knights. Her and doubles partner
Shannon Dudy (Glenview, IL) earned a hard fought 6-4 win at the number one doubles position before Kealy took home a dominating 6-0 6-2 win at number one singles.
Kealy earned her eighth straight singles victory of the season as she improved to a perfect 6-0 in MIAA singles play. Overall, she improved to 30-18 on the season while improving her career win total to 131.
Kealy and the Belles hit the road for their final two matches of the regular season this week, starting on Tuesday with a trip to Kalamazoo College before closing out the regular season at Hope College on Saturday.
